Motorolaís first fixed outdoor 802.16e wireless broadband solution, the Point-to-Multipoint (PMP) 320, is a cost effective, licensed option for network operators looking to build or extend existing networks and achieve a rapid return on investment. WiMAX 802.116e interoperability enables reliable data, voice and video connectivity.
The PMP 320 offers full MIMO Matrix B support, with up to 45 Mbps of throughput in a 10 MHz channel, up to 65,000 Packets per Second (PPS) and long range, LOS and nLOS performance for business and residential connectivity in the 3 GHz licensed band.
Standards-based WiMAX Interoperability
The PMP 320 uses the 802.16e air interface (both MAC and PHY) to enable interoperability with WiMAX CPEs. Motorola also offers an Interoperability Testing (IOT) program to assist device manufacturers with an IOT test plan.
Designed for fixed outdoor applications to inter-operate with WiMAX CPEs, the PMP 320 does not require the costly ASN gateway equipment associated with mobility functions.
The PMP 320 is an all-outdoor, integrated, single-board radio. This simple design is fast and easy to install with low power requirements and no requirement for the controlled environments associated with circuit boards.
